While the current model is stylistically challenged, to put it politely, the next-generation will have a more upscale design which eschews the slab-sided styling of its predecessor.  The crossover also has a GLA-inspired front fascia with a two-bar grille that is flanked by LED-infused headlights.

The interior is significantly improved as it carries over from the C-Class and features higher quality materials. Notable highlights include a new steering wheel, a freestanding infotainment system and higher quality switchgear. The model also has circular air vents and metallic accents.

Engine options will likely carryover from the C-Class and include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 bhp (179 kW) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) torque as well as a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 329 bhp (245 kW) and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm) torque. We can also expect a variety of familiar diesel engines as well as an AMG variant with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 476 PS (350 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
