Iveco has unveiled the futuristic Vision concept at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hannover, Germany.

Designed to be an eco-friendly delivery van, the Vision concept has a stylish exterior with plastic body cladding, LED headlights and “see-through” front pillars. The van also has a translucent roof and a sliding front passenger door - with a retractable step - that provides easy access to the cargo compartment.

Iveco didn't release many interior photos but we can see a minimalist cabin with a digital instrument cluster and an aircraft-inspired steering wheel. The van also has a tablet and a rearview camera which projects images onto a panoramic screen that is located above the windshield.

Interestingly, the concept has a "fully automatic load management system" that uses sensors to identify items and indicate where they should be placed. When this happens, the system triggers "containment devices" which holds the item in place.

Iveco was coy on specifications but confirmed the concept has a Dual Energy powertrain that consists of a hybridized engine and an electric motor. This setup enables the van to operate emissions free in urban settings.
