Volkswagen has revealed the refreshed Vento in India.
Essentially a Polo with a bigger trunk, the model comes with redesigned double barrel headlamps and a set of new alloy wheels. The front and rear bumpers are also restyled.
Inside the cabin there is a new three-spoke steering wheel from the Polo facelift, while the center console is finished in silver. The standard equipment includes dual front airbags, height-adjustable driver seat and power windows. The Highline models will also feature 15-inch alloy wheels, audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and steering-mounted controls, speed sensing door locks and automatic climate control.
The Vento facelift will be offered with a new 1.5-liter TDI diesel unit with 105 HP (77 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to either a five-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
On the petrol side there are two engine options – a 1.6 that offers 105 HP (77 kW) at 5,250 rpm and 153 Nm (113 lb-ft) at 3,800 rpm and a 1.2-liter TSI that delivers 105 HP (77 kW) at 5,000 rpm and 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) at 1,500-4,100 rpm.
