Mercedes-Benz has released a batch of images with a rare C63 AMG Edition 507 built for the Australian market.

The C63 AMG Edition 507 came out in February last year as a last hurrah for the outgoing generation and two of the cars built in right-hand drive for the Australian received the Performance Studio treatment both inside and out. It represents the first Mercedes-Benz model equipped with the AMG Sports Stripes package and comes with a white body complemented by red accents seen on the alloy wheels, mirror caps and front/rear spoiler lips.

The red & white theme continues inside the cabin on the leather upholstery and the white door panels which have red stitching. Other enhancements include bespoke floor mats with "507" lettering also found on the headrests, Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching and some glossy trims.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated V8 6208cc engine (advertised as a 6.3-liter) outputting 507 HP (373 kW) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft), representing an increase of 50 HP (37 kW) and 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) over the regular C63 AMG. The high-powered sedan needs only 4.2 seconds to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and tops out at an electronically-governed 174 mph (280 km/h).

Its successor will reportedly be unveiled online on Wednesday before heading to next week's Paris Motor Show.
