GMC is introducing an Elevation Edition for the 2015MY Sierra based on the 1500 double-cab pickup version.

It was only last week when GMC launched the Sierra Carbon Edition and now they are back with the Sierra Elevation Edition which comes with a series of cosmetic tweaks. The front grille surround is painted in the same color as the body while the door handles, side moldings, mirror caps and both bumpers are also color-keyed. It rides on black 20-inch alloy wheels and the headlights benefit from LED technology.

Standard equipment includes power mirrors and remote keyless entry along with LED cargo box lighting and a 110-volt power outlet. Inside the cabin there's an IntelliLink infotainment system with a 4.2-inch touchscreen display packing support for Bluetooth phone, OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities for up to seven devices.

Customers can order the 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition with either a 2WD or 4WD setup with power coming from a 4.3-liter V6 EcoTec3 outputting 285 bhp (213 kW) while for more money the vehicle can be optionally configured with a larger 5.3-liter V8 EcoTec3 rated at 355 bhp (265 kW).

GMC will disclose pricing details closer to the model's arrival in dealerships set for the end of the year.
