We weren't aware Volvo was preparing a more rugged V60 with the "Cross Country" moniker but it seems the model is just about ready to go official. It features the usual Cross Country ingredients seen on the smaller V40 Cross Country like the raised suspension and the additional body cladding. The increased ride height is easily noticeable when compared to the regular red/burgundy V60 behind.

The black prototype featured a T5 AWD badge which means it had a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter gasoline engine developing 254 HP (187 kW) sent to both axles but most likely Volvo will offer other engines along with a front wheel drive layout.

An official reveal could occur as early as next month at the Paris Motor Show.
