Renault has released some new details about the next-generation Nissan Micra.

While we already knew the model would be built in France, Renault has confirmed their Le Mans plant will begin producing the car's chassis in late 2016. In order to gear up for production, Renault will be investing €7 ($9) million into the plant for new machinery and other necessities.

As we have previously reported, the next-generation Micra will be built at the Flins plant and 132,000 vehicles are expected to be made annually.
