Designer Joey Ruiter (aka J. Ruiter) has presented his Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed Concept through three computer renderings.
Set to combine the love of “American muscle and off-roading”, the vehicle is based on the Challenger Hellcat and features a dramatically revised styling with a new rear trailing arm with links, a body armor with rock sliders, modified fender flares, an integrated lower light bar and A/T badging.
Asking “why should a car be limited to the road it drives on”, the creator explains the Challenger A/T Untamed Concept is “sleek enough for the city nightlife and rough enough for the off-road landscape”.
In terms of engines, Ruiter told Autoblog that a tuned V6 would make more sense than the Hellcat V8 from a weight standpoint. The designer wants “the passion given to the Hellcat to be pushed into more areas”.
There’s still no word whether this car could ever see the light of day, but Rutier says “we would love to build one for you”.
