Zenos Cars has taken the wraps off the E10 S which brings more power compared to the original E10.

Founded by former Caterham boss Ansar Ali, Zenos Cars is introducing an evolution of the E10 which continues to benefit from road-legal status and packs more punch. The E10 S is motivated by a mid-mounted turbo four-cylinder, 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivering 250 bhp (186 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) at 2,500 rpm which makes it 50 bhp (37 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) more powerful than the standard naturally-aspirated E10.

While the E10 needs 4.5 seconds to complete the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run, the hotter S derivative will do it in just 4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h). It's all possible thanks to a carbon aluminum monocoque which has managed to keep the curb weight down to a low 700 kg (1,543 lbs).

The Zenos E10 S sits on 16-inch front & 17-inch OZ alloy wheels wrapped around in Avon tires, with stopping power being provided by 285mm front & rear disc brakes. It benefits from a double wishbone independent front/rear suspension with Bilstein dampers and has received removable front and rear wings as well as a steel roll over and side-impact protection system.

Pricing starts at 29,995 GBP which makes it 5,000 GBP more expensive than the E10. Opt for the track variant and you pay 32,995 GBP for a limited slip differential, six-speed gearbox (standard five-speed), in-house developed composite seats, quick-release steering wheel, different wheels, four-point racing harness, adjustable dampers as well as heated driver’s seat.

Zenos Cars will expand its lineup with the E11 Roadster in 2016 which will be followed by the E12 Coupe in 2018.
