Buick has officially unveiled the 2015 Envision at the Chengdu Motor Show in China.

Designed to slot between the Encore and Enclave, the Envision is a mid-size crossover that is designed to appeal to "social elites."

On the styling front, the Envision has a small waterfall grille that is flanked by xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. Moving further back, there's prominent character lines, chrome trim and 19-inch aluminum wheels.

The upscale styling continues in the cabin as drivers will find themselves surrounded by premium materials and modern amenities such as wood trim, metallic accents and a MyLink infotainment system with an eight-inch display. There's also ambient lighting and a Bose audio system with Active Noise Cancellation technology. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof and heated / cooled front seats.

Power will be provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 256 bhp (191 kW) and 353 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a six-speed transmission and an all-wheel-drive system which enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and return 8.8 L/100 km (26.7 mpg US / 32.1 mpg UK).
