According to a recent report issued by British media, Mercedes-AMG is interested in purchasing the motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta.

The German company is already preparing a bid to buy the famous Italian motorcycle producer if we were to believe a publication by Top Gear. There are no specific details about the deal but it is said that AMG executives “are already deep into exploring the possibilities of a tie-up”.

The information seems quite doubtful but the source claims there is a high likelihood of an agreement because Investindustrial, a private equity fund are set to play a major role. This fund is owned by the Bonomi family, the former owner of Ducati that Mercedes-AMG had a co-operation with a few years back. On the other hand, it owns 37.5 percent of Aston Martin who is now working closely with Mercedes-AMG.
