Ford introduced the 2015 Mustang months ago but the company has just begun testing a right-hand-drive (RHD) variant.

Set to be sold in more than 25 markets - including Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom - the model will mark the first time the Mustang has ever been offered in a right-hand-drive configuration from the factory.

While the Mustang is offered with three engines in the United States, most international markets will only see two engines including:

  • A 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 310 bhp (231 kW) and 320 lb-ft (433 Nm) of torque
  • A 5.0-liter V8 engine with 435 bhp (324 kW) and 400 lb-ft (541 Nm) of torque
