Toyota has taken the wraps off a new version FT-1 concept as a follow-up to the original car which made its debut in January at NAIAS.
Toyota has taken the wraps off the FT-1 Vision GT and a new version FT-1 featuring a graphite paint.
First up, the FT-1 Vision GT is a high-powered derivative of the original concept and was envisioned as a track-only car. It comes with a beefy body featuring carbon fiber front splitter and a fixed rear wing along with vented fenders and larger air vents for better cooling. We can also notice a huge rear diffuser, an F1-like brake light and an extremely lowered ride height.
As for the second one, compared to the original red FT-1 concept this new iteration adopts a graphite exterior paint scheme while inside there's all-natural saddle grain leather with brown edges whereas the original FT-1 had a black theme with red painted edges. Toyota says they changed the color combination to provide a "more sophisticated feel and authenticity" and the adoption of saddle leather offers a more upscale feel.
Both the Toyota FT-1 Vision GT and FT-1 with Graphite paint will be available for download next month in Gran Turismo 6 on PlayStation 3.
