Following its introduction back in April at the New York Auto Show, the mildly facelifted Volkswagen Jetta is now available on order in United Kingdom.

Although cosmetic changes are moderate at best, Volkswagen says these have made the car ten percent more aerodynamic compared to the pre-facelift model. There's an updated radiator grille featuring three horizontal fins while the front bumper has also gone through minor surgery. At the back the boot lid now incorporates an aero-optimized lip which extends into the side wings and there are also tweaked taillights and rear bumper to keep the model fresh.

On the inside there's a new steering wheel, updated instruments, fresh trims and fabric designs, along with ambient lightning in the range-topping Jetta GT which starts at 21,715 GBP. If that's too much, opt for the base Jetta S priced at 18,815 GBP or the mid-range SE which kicks off at 20,145 GBP. The most expensive UK-spec Jetta money can buy is the GT variant equipped with a 150 PS 2.0 TDI engine mated to a 6-speed DSG which will set you back 24,715 GBP.

It should be mentioned the flagship GT variant is distinguished by a 15mm lowered sports suspension and 17-inch Lancaster wheels. It also packs rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, front sport seats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The Volkswagen Jetta facelift is available for order in UK and will reach customers starting December.
