A brand new BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe was the star of a recent video filmed by our colleagues from BMWBlog.

These days it's hard to find a better looking model in BMW's lineup than the 6-Series Gran Coupe which is why this was the vehicle of choice to star in a video taken on what is considered to be one of the best driving roads in the world. BMWBlog teamed up with QuadcoptersRO to shoot this video with aerial drones on what originally used to be a strategic military route during Romania's communist years under the reign of Nicolae Ceausescu. In the present, anyone can get to enjoy the beautiful scenery and 90 km (56 miles) of twists and turns on the second highest paved road in Romania.

The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe used for the shooting was a 640d equipped with a 3.0-liter diesel engine rated at 313 PS (230 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5.4 seconds and a 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed.

As a reminder, a couple of days ago we published the first set of spy shots depicting the facelifted 6-Series Gran Coupe which will feature minor styling updates since there's very little room for improvements. Look for a debut in March next year at the Geneva Motor Show where it will probably be showcased alongside the refreshed 6-Series Coupe and Convertible.
