Aston Martin has announced plans to introduce the V12 Vantage S Roadster at Pebble Beach.

Announced earlier this year, the model will become the company's "fastest" and "most potent" roadster to date as it features a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 565 bhp (421 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to a seven-speed Sportshift III transmission which will enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds (0-100 km/h 4.1 seconds) before hitting a top speed of 201 mph (323 km/h).

Besides the powerful engine, the roadster is equipped with a ventilated hood, carbon fiber components and an aggressive grille that draws inspiration from the CC100 Speedster concept. The cabin is virtually identical to the V12 Vantage S Coupe but customers can order an optional carbon fiber package that adds carbon fiber trim, carbon fiber door handles and black alloy pedals.

The V12 Vantage S Roadster will be shown alongside a full-scale model of the DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo concept. Designed specifically for Gran Turismo 6, the concept is a mid-engine supercar that features a twin-turbo V12 that develops 800 bhp (597 kW).
