It was only yesterday when we published the first patent photos of the 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and now we have a video of the car testing on the Nurburgring.

The 911 GT3 RS features a familiar body kit but is distinguished by canards and widened fenders. Just like the patent photos show, the car adopts a muscular hood and wider, ventilated front fenders. The prototype is also equipped with a sporty rear wing.

There is still nothing official about the engine of the car but it will likely use an upgraded 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that produces more than 475 PS (349 kW). This unit will probably be mated exclusively to a PDK automatic transmission which has been specifically tuned for use in the model.

It was believed an official debut could occur in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, but Porsche CEO Matthias Müller has hinted the 911 GT3 recall could throw a wrench in those plans.
