It still hurts seeing the 2015 Honda/Acura NSX prototype after the now popular fiery incident and it's equally painful having a look at the vehicle after the fire was put out. For the untrained eye, it's hard to figure out the identity of the car (especially when looking from the rear) after it was heavily destroyed by the huge fire which although started at the back, it rapidly expanded onto the rest of the car and it even reached the front fascia.

Bystanders heard two explosions and it is believed those were related to the batteries, but as WCF user Cfox200 points out, the test drivers would have suffered significant injuries but it wasn't the case as both of them got out safe and sound. Our reader is part of Acura's design team in United States and he believes the twin-turbo mid-mounted V6 overheated, thus causing the damaging fire.
