The Porsche Cayenne will be no longer available with the base V6 engine in the USA.

The German premium SUV, which was recently facelifted, will go on sale in the U.S. from November 1 with four variants in the list. The Cayenne Diesel is the cheapest with starting price of $62,695 (46,700 EUR), while the range-topping Cayenne Turbo is rated at $114,595 (85,350 EUR). All these prices exclude the $995 (740 EUR) destination charges.

The base price for the dropped V6 version was $50,595 (37,670 EUR), while the entry-level Macan S costs $50,895 (37,895 EUR).

Detlev von Platen, CEO of Porsche Cars North America, told AutoNews "we are absolutely overwhelmed with what we have seen with the Cayenne the last four or five years. It seems like the Cayenne doesn’t have any life cycle at the moment. Demand is there".

In 2013, Porsche sold 18,507 Cayennes in the USA, which is an increase of 19 percent compared to 2012.
