According to a recent report, Bentley is considering a new model that would slot beneath the Continental GT.

Details are limited but Car & Driver is reporting the company is leaning towards an entry-level coupe that would be powered exclusively by V8 engines. There's no word on pricing or when the model will arrive but the magazine suggests it will battle higher-end versions of the Aston Martin Vantage, Porsche 911 and McLaren P13.

In related news, Bentley sales and marketing director Kevin Rose told the publication they want to return to building coachbuilt models. As Rose explained, Lamborghini and Ferrari have been able to do a good business with one-off models and he thinks Bentley could do the same.
