Chinese automakers have a long history of copying European designs, with the latest example being the Landwind E32 which is nothing more than a Range Rover Evoque lookalike. Now, Mingjun Motors is ready to introduce its M3 S1 that clearly copies the outgoing Land Rover Freelander.

There's really nothing to say in terms of design as it's a shameless copy of the British model while the platform underneath is believed to be borrowed from the Jinbei S50 produced by Brilliance Auto. Engine lineup will probably inculde the S50's 4-cylinder 2.0- and 2.4-liter gasoline units working with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.

We are curious to find out whether the interior cabin has also been replicated, like in the case of the aforementioned Landwind E32.
