The SSC Tuatara was introduced nearly three years ago but it looks like the model is finally going to go into production as the company will resume construction on a new 40,000 square foot factory in August.

According to Washington's Tri-City Herald, SSC has resolved their funding issues and is on track to open the new facility in early 2015. If everything goes according to plan, the factory will build 12 cars in its first year and that number could eventually grow to 24-30 units annually.

In an interview with the paper, SSC founder Jerod Shelby said "This is a lifelong dream for me."  Shelby also revealed that most people believe the company already has a state-of-the-art factory but their cars are actually built at his house.
