When Tesla CEO Elon Musk bought the Lotus Esprit submarine from The Spy Who Loved Me, he revealed his desire to turn it into a working model with an electric powertrain. Now, he's hinted at a series of limited edition amphibious vehicles.

Speaking to Autocar, Musk said the company is working on an amphibious vehicle that could eventually see production. While he cautioned that it's a "low priority project," he told the publication it will look like the Esprit but be roughly 10 percent larger. Musk went on to say the vehicle would be based on the Model S and the company could produce less than ten units.
