Most likely we are looking at the V10 powered version of the next-gen Audi R8 which will have a lot in common with the Lamborghini Huracan. Ingolstadt's flagship sportscar is expected to lose up to 59 kg (130 lbs) and will adopt a very subtle evolutionary design enhancing the car's sharp looks. On the inside it will likely take the 12.3-inch customizable digital instrument cluster from the third-gen TT and should also feature more metallic accents and an updated three-spoke steering wheel.

Upon launch it will be offered with the familiar 4.2-liter V8 and 5.2-liter V10 naturally-aspirated engines which will likely generate slightly more power while further down the line a smaller turbocharged engine will also be available. All these motors are going to work with a quattro all-wheel drive system and most likely a dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox.

The model will allegedly be revealed in the months to come, with deliveries slated to kick off early 2015.
