We've already seen the BMW 2-Series Convertible on numerous occasions buts our spies have snapped photos of two new prototypes and one of them is wearing the M Sport package.

We've already seen the BMW 2-Series Convertible on numerous occasions buts our spies have snapped photos of two new prototypes and one of them is wearing the M Sport package.

As you can see, the M Sport package adds an aerodynamic body kit that features an aggressive front fascia and a sportier rear bumper. The model should also have a sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

Our spies couldn't get close enough to take interior photos but the car will likely be equipped with sport seats, revised instrumentation, aluminum hexagon trim and M-branded sill plates.

Engine options will carryover from the 2-Series Coupe so expect a variety of options including:

  • A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with outputs of 184 PS (135 kW) and 245 PS (180 kW)
  • A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six with 326 PS (240 kW) and 450 Nm (322 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel with outputs of 143 PS (105 kW), 184 PS (135 kW) and 218 PS (160 kW)
