Chevrolet has released final output numbers for the 2015 Corvette Z06 which is slated to go on sale in the fourth quarter of the year.

Back in January at NAIAS when Chevrolet unveiled the 2015 Corvette Z06 they said it offers "at least" 625 bhp (466 kW) and 635 lb-ft (861 Nm) and now the final numbers have been released. The all-new V8 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged engine comes with a 1.7-liter Eaton supercharger and an intercooler and develops an impressive 650 bhp (485 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) at 3,600 rpm which makes it the most powerful production car ever made by General Motors.

The driver can enjoy 457 lb-ft (619 Nm) of the torque from idle and 625 lb-ft (847 Nm) from just 2,800 rpm. All that power is channeled to the wheels via a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or a newly developed 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.

With so much power under the hood, it's no wonder Chevrolet said a Z01 version is not being considered, at least not at this moment.

Sales of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 are scheduled to commence in Q4 2014.
