Porsche is continuing their 911 Secrets series by taking a look back at the original 911 Turbo.

While the company introduced the model in 1974, the first 911 Turbo was given to Ferdinand Porsche's daughter, Louise Piëch, in 1973 as a birthday present. Unsurprisingly, the car was tailored to suit her tastes as it eschewed "Turbo" badging and featured clear front windows because Louise was an artist who liked to paint pictures in the car.

As a refresher, the first-generation 911 Turbo featured a turbocharged 3.0-liter engine that produced 260 PS (191 kW). This is a far cry from today's model which boasts a turbocharged 3.8-liter engine with 520 PS (383 kW).
