A new report states Scion has plans to expand its lineup by adding a five-door hatchback and a first-time ever sedan.

Things haven't been exciting at Toyota's youth-oriented Scion brand for quite a while but that might change in the near future as a report indicates the company is planning to expand its lineup by introducing a hatchback which will likely be based on the Toyota Auris and act as a Matrix spiritual successor.

Interestingly, there are also talks about a sedan that will probably be based on the next generation Mazda2 platform. Scion's revamped family could also include a compact crossover along with a long debated convertible derivative of the FR-S.

According to the same report, Scion could decide to axe the xB and xD while the upcoming products won't necessarily be replacements of existing models.
