Over the years Russian drivers have developed a funny habit of celebrating Victory Day.

On May 9, 1945 the Nazi Germany capitulated to the Soviet Union in World War II and since then every year many European countries celebrate in various ways. Russia stands out from the rest of the crowd with many cars dressed up like tanks or in other guises reminiscent of the important event which marked the history of Europe.

However, it's quite ironical seeing Russians in German-made cars celebrating Victory Day but many years have passed since then and most of them probably have buried the hatchet by now. For this year's celebrations some people extended the well-known "Get Berlin" slogan to "and Maidan" as a reference to Ukraine's capital Kiev amid military and political tensions.
