One of the first 2014 BMW M3 (F80) owners has posted an on-board video with the car performing a 0-276 km/h test.

Shortly after surpassing the 2,000-mile break-in period, the owner from Abu Dhabi, UAE decided to check out the M3's performance and conducted a high speed test with the launch control turned on. He managed to raise the speedometer up to the 276 km/h (171.5 mph) mark and there was room for more but probably not enough road to take it further. With the optional M Driver's Package the new M3 can go all the way up to 280 km/h (174 mph).

It's worth mentioning the soundtrack provided by the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine is not entirely genuine as it has been digitally enhanced and emitted through the car's speakers, just like on the larger M5 (F10). It doesn't sound as impressive as the naturally-aspirated V8 engine in the previous M3 but nevertheless it still delivers a special grunt which should put a smile on the owner's face.
