Dutch media is reporting the BMW M5 30th anniversary special edition will pack as much as 600 PS (441 kW) or even more.

It was almost a year ago when we published a photo of a mysterious BMW M5 (F10) prototype spotted near the M factory in Garching carrying a "30 Year Limited Edition" sticker on the dashboard. That car is expected to see the light of day next month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the M5.

Official details about the high-performance German sedan are not available at this point but Telegraaf says the car will offer at least 600 PS (441 kW) from its V8 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged gasoline engine.

The aforementioned sticker also said "1 of 300" which can only mean BMW will cap production at 300 units.

An official announcement is expected to occur as early as next week.
