The entry-level Longitude comes sparsely equipped but features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual zone climate control and Bluetooth connectivity. Other highlights include rear park assist, LED tail lights and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Moving up to the Longitude+ adds a nine-speaker audio system and a Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display and GPS navigation.

Customers can also choose from the off-road focused Trailhawk and the luxury-oriented Limited that boasts bi-xenon headlights, Nappa leather seats, a wireless smartphone charger and 18-inch alloy wheels.

At launch, the model will be available exclusively with two 2.0-liter MultiJet 2 diesel engines. The entry-level engine produces 140 bhp (104 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, while the higher-end variant develops 170 bhp (126 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The diesel engines will eventually be joined by a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 which develops 271 bhp (202 kW) and 315 Nm (232 lb-ft) of torque.
