A prototype of the 2015 MINI Clubman was spied recently undergoing testing on the 'Ring.

Back in March at the Geneva Motor Show we saw MINI's near-production Clubman concept showing what to expect from the real deal which is slated for a reveal later this year, probably in October at the Paris Motor Show. Larger than its predecessor, the all-new Clubman is going to feature conventional front-hinged rear doors.

The back of the car will retain the outgoing model's split door so loading up the vehicle will be quite easy. Owners will also be able to squeeze in more cargo since the concept showed at the Swiss show was 26 cm longer and 17 cm wider than the original model.

Motorization options will be borrowed from the regular MINI hatch so expect to find an array of frugal three-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines as well as a more powerful 4-cylinder for what will probably be a Clubman S.

A market launch should occur either at the end of the year or early 2015.
