Mercedes-Benz is still testing the range-topping C-Class slated to go on sale early next year with a V8 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged gasoline engine. The power unit will be the result of combining two 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter units found under the hood of the AMG A-Class lineup (A45 AMG, CLA45 AMG, GLA45 AMG) and should deliver somewhere in the region of 480 bhp (358 kW).

There are also talks about a more menacing S version which not only will it pack more power but will also have an aggressive body and beefier brakes. The sedan will be followed by similar C63 AMG versions of the estate, coupe and cabriolet, body styles which haven't been revealed yet by Mercedes-Benz but should see the light of day later this year (wagon) and in 2015 (coupe & cabrio).

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Sedan will likely be unveiled in October at the Paris Motor Show.
