Looking instantly recognizable, the model follows in the footsteps of its predecessor as it adopts a dynamic roofline that is supposed to resemble a coupe. While the front and rear ends are heavily camouflaged, we can see the model will have a familiar front bumper with a twin kidney grille that is flanked by angel eye headlights and large air intakes. The déjà vu design continues out back as there's an upright tailgate, L-shaped taillights and a dual exhaust system.

Engine options will carryover from the X5, so expect choices to include:

  • A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six with 306 PS (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 with 450 PS (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque
  • A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel with 258 PS (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque
  • A tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel with 381 PS (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque
