Andy Wallace, winner of the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans, was the man to give the new Jaguar XKR GT3 its first official pre-season test session laps in Monza (Italy) and Nogaro (Southern France). Everything went well, the car is still running, and Andy was well pleased with the car. The Apex crew ran into some 'new car teething problems' but the overwhelming feeling was that plenty of progress has been made during the XKR GT3 virgin laps. Richard Lloyd, Apex Motorsport Team Principal: "We built this car in only three months, so it was a great challenge to get to this stage. We would have liked more time, of course, but we are where we are - no excuses." First real test is at Silverstone on may 5th / 6th.
