A prototype of the Jaguar F-Type R Roadster has been spied once again in Germany at the Nürburgring.

Jaguar launched the F-Type Coupe with a bang last year by also introducing a range-topping R version which will soon be offered on the Roadster as well judging by these latest spy shots. It will carry over the more aggressive front fascia along with a quad exhaust system, larger brakes, rear diffuser and an active rear spoiler.

Under the hood it will pack a V8 5.0-liter supercharged gasoline engine unleashing 550 PS (404 kW) and a maximum torque of 501 lb-ft (680 Nm). Due to what will probably be a slightly increased curb weight, the Jaguar F-Type R Roadster will be a tad slower than its fixed roof sibling which sprints to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4 seconds on its way to an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

The model could come out as soon as October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
