Ford has announced a range-topping ST3 version of the Fiesta hot hatch in United Kingdom.

The higher specification Fiesta ST3 is based on the ST-2 but comes with additional goodies such as keyless entry, cruise control, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rear view mirror. Customers willing to pay the 19,250 GBP starting price are also rewarded with power-folding mirrors, Sony DAB with navigation, as well as an electronic automatic temperature control.

It can be had with five exterior paint schemes (Spirit Blue, Molten Orange, Panther Black, Race Red, Frozen White) and two cabin themes (Smoke Storm and Molten Orange). For an extra 250 GBP the Fiesta ST3 can be equipped with rear parking sensors.

Under the hood it's the familiar 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine with 182 PS (134 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. It enables the car to do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 139 mph (220 km/h) while remaining quite frugal since the hot hatch can return 47.9 mpg UK (39.9 mpg US or 5.9 liters / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of 138 g/km.
