Peugeot unveiled the 2008 DKR earlier this week and now we have the first live photos with the company's contender for next year's Dakar Rally. It's been 25 years since Peugeot participated in this grueling competition and now they are coming back with a heavily modified two-wheel drive 2008. Gone are the crossover's rear doors while the front overhang has been shortened so the vehicle would have a higher approach angle.

Other noticeable changes include a huge rear wing and massive off-road 37-inch tires provided by Michelin. Details about what powers the 2008 DKR will probably be released on Sunday when the vehicle will be officially unveiled in Beijing. Behind the wheel at 2015 Dakar Rally for Team Peugeot Total are going to be Carlos Sainz and Cyril Despres.
