Only 1,964 units will be built and all of them are going to be based on the 2015MY Mustang GT equipped with the Performance Pack. Customers will have the possibility of opting for either a Wimbledon White (pictured) or a Kona Blue exterior hue. It comes fully-loaded so aside from the paint choice buyers will only have to decide between a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic transmission.
The automatic Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition is equipped with a Torsen limited-slip differential with a 3:55:1 final-drive. Regardless of the gearbox choice, all cars will be powered by a V8 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine developing more than 420 bhp (313 kW) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm). Output is sent to 19-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero high-performance summer tires while stopping power is provided by a Brembo braking system.
Moving on the inside, the limited-run Mustang has a leather-covered, cashmere-stitched steering wheel while the seats have been wrapped around in a unique two-tone cashmere and black leather upholstery with the Mustang 50 Year logo on the seatbacks.
