BMW is looking to increase the sporting credentials of the 2015 228i Coupe by offering a new Track Handling Package in the United States.

Designed to appeal to the "most enthusiastic BMW drivers," the Track Handling Package has an M Adaptive Suspension that reduces the ride height by 10mm. The suspension also uses a variety of sensors to create a "comprehensive real-time profile of damping needs at all four corners to effectively read and adapt to the road" within milliseconds.

The package also includes a Variable Sport Steering system with a mechanical steering rack and a variable steering ratio. The ratio is slower near the center but becomes faster in curves to provide drivers with a "precise, lightning-quick response for mid-corner adjustments."

Last but not least, the package includes M Sport Brakes and unique 18-inch light-alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The package will go into production in July and pricing will be announced closer to that date.
