A rare 1981 BMW M1 fitted with the optional AHG package is up for grabs in Holland for 229,500 EUR.

BMW built only 455 units of the M1 between 1979 and 1981 but only ten of them were equipped with the AHG kit. This is actually the first one to receive the package which bumped output of the six-cylinder 3.5-liter engine from 277 PS (204 kW) to 350 PS (257 kW).

AHG-fitted cars had a special exhaust system, racing clutch, bespoke rear wing, an adjustable racing suspension, three-piece BBS alloys, different front spoiler and wider front & rear fenders. This particular car has been driven for only 13,993 km (8,694 miles) and went through an engine overhaul 500 km ago which cost more than 30,000 EUR.

Wearing a two-tone grey exterior paint scheme, this 1981 BMW M1 has all the original components and had only two previous owners. It's available in Brummen, Holland at The Gallery Brummen for 229,500 EUR (about 318,000 USD / 190,000 GBP).
