The second-generation B-Class (W246) still feels quite fresh but Mercedes-Benz thinks time has come for a minor makeover even though the model went into production about two and a half years ago. The compact MPV will feature only modest changes as the white prototype seen in these spy shots is wearing camouflage only on the front fascia and around the taillights.

It is believed there will be a plug-in hybrid and/or electric variant set to come out sometime next year to compete with BMW's i3 which is offered both as an EV and as a plug-in hybrid equipped with a range-extending engine.

We won't be surprised if Mercedes-Benz will decide to introduce the facelifted B-Class in October at the Paris Motor Show, with sales commencing shortly thereafter.
