The Nintendo Wii U hasn't really caught on with gamers but the company is hoping to win some people over with Mario Kart 8.

Set to go on sale on May 30th, the eighth installment of popular franchise will feature new tracks and high definition graphics. The game will also have several new features including an anti-gravity mode that allows players to race upside down or up vertical surfaces.

Mario Kart 8 will also have several new items including a Piranha Plant that attaches to the front of the player’s kart and "chomps at other characters." Every time the plant bites another player, the kart will receive a speed boost. The game will also feature a new Boomerang Flower which can be thrown to temporarily stun other players.

Since games are always more fun with friends, Mario Kart 8 will allow four people to play at the same time. Users can also participate in 12-player online games.
