A unique black Maserati MC12 in a very good condition is now on sale in California at Ferrari of Newport Beach.

Maserati made 55 units of the MC12 but only 50 were available to customers and 49 of them were painted in a white & blue paint scheme as a tribute to the America Camoradi racing team which used Maserati Tipo Birdcages back in the early 60s. Only one of the MC12s sold to customers received an all-black exterior paint scheme and is now up for grabs in California.

Built in 2005, this MC12 has only 1,322 miles (2,127 km) on the odometer and comes with a removable roof panel. It's considerably longer and wider than the Ferrari Enzo upon which is based and is powered by the same naturally-aspirated V12 6.0-liter engine outputting 630 HP (465 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) at 5,500 rpm.

Back in the day it needed 3.8 seconds from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and was able to reach a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).

The seller doesn't specify a price tag and although it's on sale in California, the Maserati MC12 is not legal in The Golden State.
