Replacing a car's battery should be an easy task to accomplish but French engineering is demonstrating once again that even such a simple process can be done in a peculiar way. The all-new Twingo has managed to impress just about everyone with its cute looks and most of all, the RWD rear-engined configuration, but what makes it truly special is the way you open the hood and access what's underneath it.

As one AutoForum.cz representative sarcastically points out in this short video shot in Geneva, the owner of a third-gen Renault Twingo will probably get his hands quite dirty while completing these minor tasks.

Now we are curious to find out whether the 2015 Smart ForTwo will have the same odd hood opening sequence since the two cars share 70 percent of components. The new ForTwo and ForFour are slated to make their first public appearance in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
