The Subaru Impreza was introduced almost three years ago but the company has finally announced plans to offer it in the United Kingdom.

Set to be offered in "small volumes," the UK-spec Impreza comes nicely equipped with automatic headlights, fog lights, rain-sensing wipers and 16-inch alloy wheels. The model also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, a dual-zone climate control system and a rearview camera. If that's not impressive enough, options include leather seats and a Pioneer navigation system.

Power will be provided by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 114 HP (84 kW) and 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) of torque. It can be connected to a five-speed manual or a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission. With the latter gearbox, the car accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 12.6 seconds and has a top speed of 111 mph (178 km/h).

The Impreza will go on sale on May 1st and U.K. pricing starts at £17,495 (OTR).
