Two weeks ago, BMW presented the M4 Coupe safety car for the 2014 MotoGP season. Set to make its motorsport debut next weekend (March 23), the sports coupe features a full M Performance package as well as a special Akrapovic exhaust system.

Seen in the video above is the official unveiling of the car in Qatar. Fortunately, the BMW crew revved several times to impress the audience. Okay – we are impressed too!

As a reminder, M4 power is provided by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine that develops 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.
