The Japanese coupe burns out until the brakes almost catch fire during this year’s TX2K event.

A burnout is the practice of keeping a vehicle stationary while spinning its wheels. Naturally, this causes the tires to heat up and smoke due to friction.

Sometimes, when the burnout continues way too long, the brakes may also overheat and turn red. You can avoid this by using a line lock, which locks the front brakes independently of the rear ones.

Obviously the guy from this video has not equipped his Lexus SC with a line lock. The Japanese coupe burns out until the brakes almost catch fire during this year’s TX2K event.
