Ford recently took the wraps off the facelifted Focus but that hasn't stopped the company from talking about the next-generation model.

In an interview with Edmunds, Ford's vice president of global product development suggested the 2017 Focus will have the "sleek look of a coupe." Raj Nair declined to go into specifics but said "Design is still critical. Owners talk about rational reasons for purchase but a fair percentage buy for emotional reasons like styling."

Little else is known about the redesigned model but it is currently under development and will likely follows in the footsteps of the current model.
